Detailed Itinerary
Day by day through Tanzania's finest
Day 1 - Tarangire National Park
Fly in 1.30 hours from Zanzibar to Arusha in the early morning, where your guide welcomes you for the start of your Northern Tanzania adventure. Drive in 2 – 3 hours to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full afternoon game drive and spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species. After your safari, continue to your lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening.
Day 2 - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the world‑famous Ngorongoro Crater. It is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and if you’re lucky the Big Five and rare black rhino. Spend the day exploring the crater floor with a picnic lunch. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge enjoying dinner and relaxing evening.
Day 3 - Lake Manyara & Maasai Visit
Start the day with a short visit to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush groundwater forest, tree‑climbing lions (seasonal), and large flocks of flamingos along the lakeshore. After your game drive, visit a local Maasai community to learn about their traditions, daily life, and cultural heritage. In the afternoon, return to Arusha for your flight back to Zanzibar to continue your beach holiday.
